Beautiful, well-maintained place with stunning views. Great location for hikes and close to the ocean. Friendly owners provide healthy and delicious breakfast, packed lunches, and fantastic a la carte dinner with good wine. A week stay left us relaxed and cared for. Highly recommended!

During my recent travel, I had the opportunity to stay at Refugio Del Cares Guest House in Ortiguero. Although I only stayed for transit purposes, I was impressed by two notable features of this guest house. The nearest airport was a mere 112 km away, making it easily accessible for travelers. the immediate local roads to reach the property, although narrow, were manageable.

The local roads leading to the guest house were a bit narrow, which might pose a slight challenge for those driving larger vehicles or individuals who are not accustomed to narrow roads.
